Car Racing

The Sebring International Raceway is home to 12 Hours of Sebring and Legends of Motorsports car races. It’s one of the oldest continuously operating race tracks in the U.S., its first race being run in 1950.

Having racing heritage from 70+ years of car races at the Sebring International Raceway, being host to GFNY Florida race was a natural fit for Sebring.

Nature

Gator at Highlands Hammock State Park

The city's geography is dominated by 9,212-acre Lake Jackson, but 420-acre Dinner Lake and 137-acre Little Lake Jackson. Sebring lies on the southern end of the Lake Wales Ridge, a chain of ancient islands that is the native habitat for many rare plants and animals. Most of the area is rural and part of the Florida scrub ecosystem, with smaller areas of hammocks and cypress swamps, similar to those found at Highlands Hammock State Park, a popular attraction, located four miles west of Sebring.

Visitors of Highlands Hammock State Park can cross the elevated Cypress swamp boardwalk, hike one of the nine trails or enjoy a ranger-led park tour.

Avon Park Airforce Range is ideal for hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and birding visit
